While my style is distinctive, I like to paint various subjects. My latest collection focuses on iconography and I am currently working on a collection inspired by Japanese samurai and shogun imagery.

Iconographic interpretations
This collection is my own personal interpretation of Eastern European iconography. It presents traditional imagery of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary and Christian saints in a new light, bringing an inner world of looser subjective emotion and feelings to the canvas. I hope viewers will (re)connect with spiritual aspect and values symbolised by pivotal Biblical events.
This collection is currently on display at the Forum, Southend-on-Sea – more details here.
Symbolism
I love spirituality and symbolism. My most popular early painting for print reproductions, “Spiritual Love”, is a classic example of this. Depicting a couple embraced in a kiss, it conveys the aura and energy emanating from their love. It features the pentagram, an ancient symbol representing the virtues of love, truth, peace, freedom, and justice. The white dove also symbolises peace and love.

Portraits and commissions
I can do commissioned paintings based on a subject of a choice. Family portrait, a photo of a special memory, favourite place? I can convey them to painting to treasure forever.
These are some examples of portraits I have done from photographs of people dear to me – conveyed in my distinctive style of textures and colours.
If you’d like to commission a portrait or other composition from a photo, please get in touch.
